Axosoft OnTime is a tool designed to support the development process - which doesn't work under the ideal development conditions of least user privilege.

There are some slight differences in behaviour from the 2004 Edition.

The error is caused by an attempt to create and access the OnTime.config configuration file in the OnTime installation folder underneath the Program Files folder. It is necessary to run the program once from an Administrator account in order to create the file, then to modifying the permissions on the file to allow appropriate accounts to access it..

During operation, the program attempts to create and use a temporary working folder called "TempFiles" in the same location. This also fails. A work-around can be achieved by manually creating this folder and allowing Users to write to it.

In version 5.1, the OnTime.config file is moved into "\Local Settings\Application Data\Axosoft\OnTime Windows". It no longer appears to attempt to write to the Program Files directory.

OnTime Windows 2005 version 5.1 is a free upgrade from version 5.0.
