In response to my
post on controlling the angle brackets, I liked Kirk's
post about learning WS-* specs. I agree with him that you need to know the architecture and capabilities of the WS-* stack, not all the low-level protocol details (except maybe for diagnostic purposes). My original post, though, was more abour the format of payloads. Many (most) Web service developers simply take what they're code generator gives them for a schema and go from there. I work the other way so I can get exactly want I want in the body of my message. When Indigo arrives, I'll rely on it to handle the WS-* protocol details. Will I rely on it to design my message schemas? Hard to say. I'll tell you when I get there.
