Screencast: Hosting WCF services in ASP.NET/IIS

Service Station, by Aaron Skonnard

Syndication

This week's screencast covers how to host your WCF Service in ASP.NET/IIS. We'll start with the simple WCF service that I created in the first screencast, and then I'll show you how to expose the service using an svc file within an ASP.NET Web site. Next, we'll walk through the process of adding endpoints to the site's web.config file (for further details on configuring endpoints see this screencast). Then I'll show you how to test it using the ASP.NET Development Web Server in Visual Studio. And finally, I'll show you how to publish it within IIS.
