.NET Framework version 3.0 officially shipped last week. You can download the RTM bits here.
 
You can see the WCF team is a somewhat insane with happiness over on Channel 9. ;-)

That book project never actually got going for a variety of reasons (never made it through contract negotiations) but for some reason the publisher is still intent on selling it! ;-)
